Spiritual Fruit Instructions
- First print out the template on white cardstock and cut each sheet in half along the dashed line.
2. Now color the words on each page.
3. Next let’s make the fruits from the cupcake liners.
- For the strawberry, flatten a red cupcake liner and cut a circular triangle shape. For the stem, a small green cupcake liner works well. Simply fold in half and cut a zig zag pattern.
- For the cherry, use a small pink cupcake liner or cut a regular size one down a little. Then cut a pointed oval out of a small green cupcake liner for the leaf.
- For the plum, simply flatten a purple cupcake liner. Cut a leaf out of a small green cupcake liner.
- For the orange, cut an orange cupcake liner in half. Take one half and cut around the rounded edge to make it a little smaller. Glue the small half on top of the larger one.
- For the lemon, cut an oval shape out of a yellow cupcake liner. Leave two little nubs at each end to mimic a lemon.
- For the apple, notch out the top and bottom of a green cupcake liner.
- For the banana, cut a moon shape out of a yellow cupcake liner.
- For the blueberry, cut a regular blue cupcake liner a little smaller or use a blue mini cupcake liner.
- Lastly, for the watermelon, cut a green cupcake liner in half. Then take a pink cupcake liner and fold it in half – glue together.
4. Glue each fruit to it’s corresponding quote.
5. Use the marker to add finishing touches:
- Strawberry; stem and seeds
- Cherry; a long stem and leaf accents
- Plum; stem
- Orange; slice lines and seeds
- Lemon; little dots to mimic texture
- Apple; stem
- Banana; color the top and bottom brown
- Watermelon; seeds
- Blueberry; wavy center
6. Now stack the pages up and punch two holes through each page.
7. String the yarn through both holes and tie together to bind the book.
The Fruit of the Spirit Book is complete!
